With the celebration of the 10th anniversary of “La Festa dels Menuts” in the Ebro Delta in Catalonia, AQUAPONICS UNITED formally began its journey with the collaboration of AQUAPONICS Costa del Sol and Aigua Natura. This relationship continues to this day.

Although it wasn’t easy, we were able to formalize the NGO’s philosophy in a short amount of time. Our understanding of aquaponics and our know-how motivates us every day.

For this event, we developed an aquaponics system that would serve as a tool for trainers to teach STEM subjects and introduce aquaponics in the classroom. The EDU (Educational Diverse Unit) turned out to be mobile, compact, durable and affordable. You can find it in our online store marketed by AQUAPONICS Costa del Sol.

We understand that the main way to transition to a sustainable economy is to train “our” professionals and that they in turn transmit knowledge to future generations, thus generating the necessary business fabric for aquaponics to become an alternative for sovereign food cultivation without borders.
