Aquaponics United is a non-governmental organization created to promote and encourage aquaponic systems as a sustainable and efficient method of agriculture.

By combining aquaculture and hydroponics, aquaponics creates a closed system that recirculates water and nutrients—producing fish and plants in a symbiotic relationship.

Our story so far

Built through collaboration.

Our journey began with a shared belief that aquaponics can help create a more sustainable and accessible food system. Since then, our work has grown through partnerships, education and practical projects.

2018–2022First collaborations and the EDU mobile aquaponics system.

2022Authorization to become an international NGO registered in Spain.

2023First university-focused educational aquaponics project.

2025First Spanish National Aquaponics Project.
